Orkestra Melayu Singapura traces the evolution of traditional Malay music in Singapore, from its origins as a small fishing village to the cosmopolitan city of
today. Set in an impressive outdoor stage at Bedok Reservoir, be immersed in the melancholy of Asli, the boundless energy of the Zapin and the infectious
beats of the Joget and Dikir Barat. Musicians from Akademi Seni Budaya dan Warisan Kebangsaan (ASWARA) from Malaysia’s Ministry of Culture, Arts
and Heritage guest perform with a Keroncong and Ghazal ensemble.
* Jointly produced with People’s Association Malay Activity
