The liveliness, lyricism and emotivenuances of Malay music have endeared it to audiences since its beginnings. Set in an impressive outdoor stage at theBotanic Gardens, join the Orkestra Melayu Singapura in a picnic-style concert that presents evergreen Malay hits from the 60s through the 80s.
Featuring the best of local Malay talents including Khairul Anuar(MediaCorp TV 12), Nurun Nuwwarah(MediaCorp TV 12) Jazz/Bossanovaperformer Rudy Djoharnaen, and dancers from PA Malay Dance Group performing popular songs that are close to the hearts of the Malay community, this concert will be a delightful and engaging experience for not just Malay audience but for anyone out for a relaxed evening out in the park.
Surrounded by the lush greenery, the concert creates the perfect ambience for everyone to come and be entertained by the dynamics of the different Malay music genres. Presented in English and Malay. Organised by People’s Association Malay Activity Co-ordinating Council(MESRA).
